Total pole outage at a safety-critical location, storm or accident damage to a pole or foundation, a lowering ring stuck in a dangerous position, or exposed live wiring are all treated as emergency call-outs rather than scheduled maintenance items.
Under AMC contracts, critical infrastructure (highways, ports, airports) gets a 4-hour response SLA. For non-AMC clients, we still prioritize emergency call-outs and mobilize as quickly as the site location allows.
After storm or vehicle-impact damage, our first step is a structural assessment of the pole and foundation before any repair or re-erection — a bent or impact-damaged pole may need replacement rather than repair, and using the wrong judgment here is a safety risk, not just a cost decision.
Where a full repair can't happen immediately (parts lead time, structural assessment pending), we put temporary safety measures in place — barricading, de-energizing the circuit, or temporary lighting — rather than leaving a hazard unaddressed until the permanent fix is ready.
Is emergency response available for sites without an AMC contract?
Yes, though response time SLAs are guaranteed for AMC clients. Non-AMC emergency call-outs are handled on a priority basis and billed separately.
